Our Process

“If you can’t describe what you are doing as a process, you don’t know what you are doing”
― W. Edwards Deming

1.

DISCOVERY

We work with you to find out the best way that we can make life easier for you and your clients. We will also do independent research to learn what the standards and expectations are for your specific industry.

2.

PLANNING

Using the information gathered in the discovery phase we begin to put together a plan for your website. This includes how the information will be organized and wireframing the design of the site.

3.

DESIGN

This is the point at which the look and feel of your website begin to take form. We use the research from step 2 and any information that we put together about your industry to design something that you and your clients will love.

CLIENT APPROVAL

4.

DEVELOPMENT

After the design of your website is complete, it’s time to turn that design into a functioning website. We replace all dummy text with content provided by you or a professional copywriter leaving you with a completely custom website.

5.

TESTING

Nothing is perfect, but we’re going to do our best to get as close as we possibly can. We have some automated testing software, but we also will manually go through the site and click every link and button and visually inspect every single page.

6.

STAGING

Now that we have a complete website, it’s time to “stage” the site. This means that we put the site live, but not in its final place. This lets us test any issues we might have when launching the website. Additionally, this allows us to test the functionality of the site one last time and allows you to sign off on the live site in exactly the state it will be in when launched.

CLIENT APPROVAL

7.

LAUNCH

The site is complete! Now we work with you to get the site launched using your hosting provider. Because we already tested the site and tested the launch procedures we can be confident that this will go smoothly.

CLIENT APPROVAL

8.

MAINTAIN

Websites are living things, so this step never actually ends. Updates are needed periodically, and the content will need to be changed occasionally. We don’t always handle this portion but are happy to handle this if it’s needed.
