Frequently Asked Questions
“Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.”
— Tony Robbins
We know you’re going to have questions, we look forward to answering them. These are more general questions so you can be more informed about the process.
Absolutely it does, there is no question about it. Having a website is as critical as anything else for business in this day and age.
Quite a bit, but not too much on your end. We need a couple of things from you usually but you can be as hands-on or hands-off as you like. It’s your site! Get in touch with us and we can happily elaborate for you.
A lot of factors play into the cost of a website, primarily though, there are two main factors. They are size and features. So, the larger and more feature-rich your site plays a gigantic role in how much your website will cost. Get in touch with us so we can answer this question for you.
Short answer: Absolutely not!
Longer Answer: We would certainly hope that you would want to work with us again. But if you don’t, you own the site and we provide all design and development materials at the end of the project. We also use standard coding practices so any good designer/developer could easily pick up where we left off if you wanted to seek help elsewhere.
There’s a lot of reasons to consider us, but a couple of the big ones could be:
- We’re honest and reliable.
- We’re small, so can offer more competitive pricing for similarly sized projects.
- We don’t overload ourselves with work so projects get done quicker than with larger studios.
- You would be supporting a small business.
We work pretty fast. Although the actual design and development vary heavily from project to project, a turn-around of a few weeks isn’t unheard of for a standard-ish website. Get in touch and we can give you a much clearer answer.
These are all about the look and feel of your site. You know, the artsy-fartsy stuff. We’re passionate about it, but you don’t have to be.
But of course! More people will use phones to find your business online than any other medium. This is a priority for us, and we test over 50 browser/device combinations to make sure!
We allow up to 2 design revisions for most projects, but we’re flexible and can vary from project to project.
No doubt about it. We will provide all creative and technical assets when the project is complete. This including all images, designs, and a complete copy of the completed source code.
Of course! We can work within most limitations, and we truly understand the importance of these things.
These get a bit technical if you don’t understand it’s okay! We’re here to help if you have more questions and it’s cool to just completely ignore this stuff.
Sometimes, but not always. If you want Wordpress, that’s fine, and if you don’t that’s fine too. WordPress is the best available option for some types of sites, but not all of them.
For a website to function, it has to be hosted on a server somewhere. Web hosting is the act of providing that service. Hosting comes in many shapes and sizes, and we can help you pick the right one for you.
We don’t offer web hosting for a plethora of reasons, but the main reasons are that it’s already cheap, it’s hard work, and we want to avoid clients feeling like they’re locked into us in any way.
For clients that we have worked with in the past or special circumstances, we will provide managed services, but most websites won’t require this.
This one is pretty project-specific and depends heavily on your web hosting. There are a few different technologies that we use. We build roughly 50% of our sites using WordPress, and the other 50% is made up of PHP/Laravel, Static Generated from PHP/Laravel, and NodeJS. If this is important to you let us know when we chat.
